  • Happy Father’s Day to everyone, including myself I guess.  I’m very
thankful for my dad and am doubly excited that he’s recovering very
well.  Thanks everyone for your well wishes and prayers.  On a side
note, Abigail and I can carry on a pretty good conversation now, (even
though I have no clue what she’s saying).  She still doesn’t know she’s
going to have a younger sister in 4 months.  We’ve decided to name her
Rachel.  Here are some relatively old photos and some new ones from
    Hong Kong.

    Am I not photogenic?

    I’m cool!

I don’t have all day to wait for the cake!!

Don’t hesitate to take photos of me.

Luke, I’m your sister, Darth Abby.

What? Troublemaker? You’ve got no evidence on me!

My first ride on Hong Kong’s metro with Mom’s family.

I’m a big girl now and I don’t play with my food!

We’re going to say goodbye to mom’s family at the airport!

    I miss you grandma!!

Wow, look at that 747!  USA here I come!

  • Praise God for a successful surgery for my dad.  We’re off to Hong Kong and Taiwan!  See y’all in 2 weeks.

How can Kate and I not smile at this?

May 14, 2007

  • I’ve been wondering for awhile when would I get a chance to go back to Taiwan.  Last time I was there was December 95.  And now I’ve got my wish.  Only this time I’m not going for fun but to help take care of my dad who’s scheduled to have cardiac triple bypass surgery Wednesday (Taiwan time).  Kate and Abigail will visit Hong Kong and I’ll join them 10 days later.  Please pray for my father’s surgery as well as recovery.  Also pray for my mom as she’s trying to teach 4 classes AND take care of my father.  Pray for Abigail that she’ll behave on the long international flight across the Pacific.  We leave this Friday morning and return midnight 6/3.

  • Three years ago today Kate and I celebrated our wedding with family and
friends.  Here are some photos from our dating days all the way up to
    the wedding day.

This was taken moments after Kate and I had a DTR.  It also happened to be her 26th birthday.

March 12, 2007

  • March Madness is here!!!  Let the good times roll!

In other news, Abigail is going to be a sister!  Now I can only imagine what kind of older sibling she’ll become.  Probably bossy, dominant, busybody, and a total trouble maker.  Well, as long as the next kid (hopefully a boy) turns out to be more like me then we’ll be ok.

We came back from New York a week ago and it was a very relaxing time.  I spent most of my days sleeping in bed, moaning about my sore back, struggling to speak through my hoarse voice, and dealing with a nasty headache.  Kate in the meantime was dealing with morning sickness and feeling tired.  I think the person who had the most fun was Abigail.  She was so excited to see Kayla/Katie, the twin sisters.  But she was blown away by my favorite dog, Rocco.  Constantly chasing after a dog whose head is as big as her upper torso.  Now that’s my girl!

But many many thanks to Ellis and Angela, our amazing hosts.  The Chu-motel’s reputation is well deserved.  They fed us, clothed us, entertained us, and drove us around NY.  We hope to see them again in the near future under better conditions.  Here are some pics from our NY trip and other misc photos.  Note that daddywang is not in any of them because I was home alone with Rocco.

Boy, it is so much fun to squish myself in here!

    Am I cool or what?

Hey this is much more fun than having to sit on daddy’s lap!

Wow, tree house in NY!  I’m getting too tall for this.

    M&M factory is fun! but…

…it is freeeezing outside!  I don’t remember ATL being this cold!

mmm, good call on East Dynasty Buffet in Flushing, mommy!  So tasty!

    I love M&M!!!!

Why is everyone asking me to kiss Rocco?

  • well, i guess NY it is for us.  wasn’t even close!  And here I was hoping to find out the meaning of “what happens here, stays here”.  Since everyone was so enthusiastic about NY, I’m counting on you guys for some help.  I need  recommendation for places to visit, restaurants to dine at, anything/anywhere you think we should do that would truly make this NY trip NY special.

  • Vote for our next family vacation destination:  New York or Las Vegas?  We’ve never been to either.

January 15, 2007

  • wow, it’s been two months since my last update.  Abigail started
walking around 10 months old and now she’s climbing stairs, roaming
around as if she owns the place, and causing general chaos.  But we’re
so thankful for how God has blessed us with her.  We celebrated her 1
year old birthday today by treating ourselves to some good Chinese
food.  Abigail was more excited about the fish in the tank then the
food.  Unfortunately she’s allergic to fish just like me. At least she
likes rice as much as daddy and mommy.

One of her favorite things to do now a days (besides making a mess of
everything) is to help out around the house.  She’ll grab things and
hand it to us excitedly as if she’s sharing.  Other times when we’re
vacuuming she’ll try to help push the vacuum cleaner.  I’m just waiting
for the day when she’ll give me a back rub and buy me a Mac PowerBook.
