    I tag Kate and Abigail

this is kind of what heaven will be like  (Isaiah 11:6-7):

  • Quality of healthcare in Chengdu, China.  Found this picture from
bbcnews.com.  Apparently they were transferring patients and
equipment from one wing to another in the hospital.  Nice to know
how patients will be treated in Chengdu.  Hope this isn’t true for
    rest of China.

  • Kate and Abigail are finally going to church this Sunday!  Anyone
who wants to hold Abigail  has to have their hands sterilized and
be in good physical condition (no coughing, sneezing, flu-like
symptoms).  Plus please stand in line to wait for your turn.
also, there will be a 5 dollar charge.  Anyone under 15 need not
apply.   Finally, we reserve the right to refuse anyone’s
request to hold her.  Thank you for your cooperation.

  • What a great sports weekend!  Lakers beat the best team in NBA,
Detroit Pistons.  Then Taiwan womps China 12-3 in baseball.
UNC wins at Duke spoiling their Senior Night.  UNC Women won ACC
Tournament Champion.  and Davidson Won the Southern Conference
Tournament to make it into the Big Dance.  AWESOME!!

Here are a few more Abigail pictures per Kate’s request.  Oh, and the first 2 pics weren’t my ideas.

  • got this from ironchefaber’s page.  thought it was pretty neat.  check it out!

  • Babies are the most effecttive women magnets around.  We took Abigail out to
Target last week and as I was carrying her in the carseat while mom was
checking out clothes, I must’ve had 7-8 different ladies (of all ages
too) say hi and made cute sounds/comments at the baby.
Unbelievable.   For all you single men out there who can’t find
the perfect woman, borrow someone’s cute baby and then go out in
public.  I guarantee you won’t have problems ‘meeting’ women
    then.

Today while Kate and I took Abigail to see her doctor, the
hispanic-american nurse made a comment that the baby had “chinky eyes”
like her parents.  I was too stunned/surprised to say
anything.  Although I’m sure she didn’t mean to make a racial
slur, (and I don’t think Kate caught/understood what she said) it still
made me uncomfortable and a little offended.  when was the last
time you had a racial slur directed at you?  what went through
your mind after you heard it?

Edit:  Per popular request, I’ve decided to charge 10 bucks an
hour (for 2 hours max) to rent out Abigail.  Of course, money back
guarantee if you don’t find a nice lady in those 2 hours.  Who’s
    up for it?

  • Abigail weighs 9.7lbs now.  She’s starting to stay more awake
during day time which is a plus.  I just hope she’ll sleep more at
night.  Here are some new pics.  She’s almost 6 weeks old
now.  Also, congrats to Andrew and Jo Chin giving birth to Joseph
Andrew Chin on Friday who weighs 8.2lbs at birth!

  • HAPPY VALENTINES!!

  • To all future breastfeeding moms who don’t want their babies to pass
tons of gas and suffer from continuous hiccups, here’s a list of items
to avoid in your future diet:

Green leafy vegetables (brocooli, spinach, cabbage, asparagus)
    Beans
    Peas
    Lentils
    Peanut butter
    Sugar
    Spices
    Some food additives
    Chocolate
    Caffeine (coffee, tea, cola drinks)

Abigail now weighs 8.12 lbs.  She’s growing FAAAAAAST!! must be because she feeds like her mom! here are a few more pics.

  • I’m sure by now some of you if not most of you know that Kate and I
have decided to leave ACCC by end of June.  It was a tough
decision that took us over a year to pray over and consider before we
were absolutely certain.  But we see clearly how God’s will and
hand is in this.  Now it’s just a matter of us walking through by
faith and see where He’ll lead us.

What a year 2006 is going to be.  First the decision to
leave.  Then comes Abigail.  Later on there will be my
ordination (Lord-willing) and heading off to a new church.
Throughout all this God has been faithful and His grace is truly
sufficient for me.  But more than that, He’s given me Kate who’s
been just an awesome, encouraging, steady partner through all
this.  You can’t imagine the roller-coaster ride of emotions we’ve
already experienced in the last 4 weeks.  But through it all I
feel that I’ve learned alot more about trusting God and how much more I
    need to.

To those who wonder how does it feel to be a parent/dad? My response is
same to those who asked me awhile ago how does it feel to be
    married.

    “I highly recommend it”.
